The Central sector pattern of Rs one lakh crore financing facility launched under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already supported plenty of Agri startups. The scheme accredited by the Cabinet a month back again to help farmers, Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), Farmer Producer Organisations (FPO), Agri entrepreneurs, etc., has supported roughly 350 startups, according to PM Modi. "While on a single hand, work in progress on FPO's network, on the other hand, agri related startups are now being encouraged. So far around approximately 350 Agri startups are now being provided support. These startups are actually in food processing, AI, IoT, manufacturing of Agri-related equipment, and renewable energy," Modi said while launching the scheme via video conference. central sector schemes are exclusively funded by the central government while main sponsored schemes are jointly funded by the Centre as well as state governments.
Flipkart announces its 1st startup-accelerator programme in India.
Flipkart - A homegrown, $25 billion e-commerce organization has announced its first-ever startup accelerator program in India - Flipkart Leap, to guide B2C and B2B startups through a 16 week very long initiative. Flipkart also stated that it could look at the possibility of funding these startups, besides helping them pitch their business models to investors, entrepreneurs, and other ecosystem players on the completion of the programme. The selected startups will also be provided with an equity-free grant of $25,000.
